Paste the unbroken text, choose how many sentences you want in each paragraph, and the formatted version appears below ready to copy back into your document.

Frequently asked questions

Where does it split the text?

Only at real sentence endings — a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark followed by a space and a capital letter. Common abbreviations such as Dr., e.g. and U.S. are recognised so they never cause a split in the middle of a sentence.

How many sentences per paragraph is best?

Three to five works well for essays and blog posts, which is the default. Academic writing often runs longer, and web copy often shorter, so set the number to match the piece you are writing.

Does it change my words?

No. Not a single word or punctuation mark is altered — the tool only inserts blank lines between groups of sentences and normalises stray double spaces, so your text stays exactly as you wrote it.
