How to use Note Formatter

Paste your raw notes, pick bullets, numbered steps or the Cornell layout, and choose whether to split on lines or on sentences. The cleaned-up version appears instantly, ready to copy or print.

Frequently asked questions

Does this use AI to summarise my notes?

No. It is purely rule-based formatting: it trims whitespace, removes duplicate blank lines, strips stray bullet characters, capitalises the first letter of each point and re-lays the text out in the structure you choose. Your wording is never rewritten or invented.

What is the Cornell layout?

Cornell notes split the page into a narrow cue column for questions and keywords, a wide notes column for the detail, and a summary strip at the bottom. The tool builds that layout from your points so you can print it and fill in the cue column as you review.

Can it turn a paragraph into bullets?

Yes. Choose sentence mode and each sentence becomes its own bullet point, which is a fast way to convert a block of typed-up lecture prose into scannable revision notes.
