About Health Studio

Health Studio is a small set of 11 calculators built around published formulas. The BMI Calculator shows both the WHO categories and the lower cut-offs used for Asian Indian adults. The TDEE Calculator estimates daily energy needs from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and an activity factor, and the Macro Calculator splits a calorie goal into protein, carbohydrate and fat. For training there are Heart Rate Zones using the Karvonen method, a VO2 max estimate and a pace calculator.

Every formula and medical cut-off is stored with the paper or guideline it comes from, and the tool pages cite them. Where a constant could not be checked against a primary source, the page says so rather than presenting it as settled. The calculations run in your browser and the numbers you enter are not saved. These are estimates for general information. A formula cannot see your medical history, medicines or how your body actually responds, so speak to a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional before acting on a result, and get urgent help for symptoms that worry you.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the BMI calculator show two sets of categories?
The WHO cut-offs are the international standard. Research on Asian Indian adults led to lower cut-offs for overweight and obesity, so the calculator shows both and you can see where you fall in each.
How accurate is a TDEE estimate?
It is a starting point. Mifflin-St Jeor predicts resting energy use for groups of people, and individuals can differ. Track your weight for a few weeks and adjust the target from there.
Can I use the blood alcohol calculator to decide whether to drive?
No. The Widmark estimate varies a lot between people and situations. Never use it to decide whether you are fit to drive; if you have been drinking, do not drive.
Is my health data stored?
No. Height, weight and other inputs stay in your browser tab and are gone when you close it.
Is this medical advice?
No. The tools show what a published formula gives for your inputs. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace a check-up with a qualified professional.
