How to use Multiple Choice Maker

Write each question on its own line and put its options on the following lines starting with a dash, marking the correct one with an asterisk. Add a title and instructions, preview the worksheet on screen, then print the paper and the answer key separately.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mark the correct option?

Put an asterisk in front of the correct option, for example '*Paris'. The worksheet prints without the asterisk so students cannot see the answer, while the answer key lists the correct letter for every question.

Can I print the paper without the answer key?

Yes. The worksheet and the answer key are separate printable areas, so you can print the student paper on its own and only print the key when you are marking.

How many options can each question have?

Anywhere from two to eight. Options are lettered A, B, C and so on automatically, and questions with different numbers of options can be mixed freely in the same worksheet.
