How to use Random Question Picker

Paste one question per line, optionally with 'question : answer', choose whether repeats are allowed, and press Draw. A random question appears full size for the class or for your own recall practice.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop the same question coming up twice?

Yes. Turn on no repeats and each question is removed from the pool once it has been drawn, so you work through the whole bank before anything repeats. A counter shows how many questions are left.

Can I hide the answers?

Yes. If your lines include an answer after a colon, the answer stays hidden behind a reveal button so you can attempt recall first, which is what makes self-testing effective.

Is the pick genuinely random?

Yes. Questions are drawn using your browser's cryptographically secure random generator, so every remaining question has an exactly equal chance each time and there is no bias towards the start of the list.
