How to use the letterhead generator
- Enter the Company name and, if you like, a Tagline (optional).
- Fill in the Address (use a new line for each line of the address), Phone, Email and Website.
- Add a Footer line (registration, tax ID) if your business needs one on letters.
- Choose a Layout (Name left, Centred or Side rule) and an Accent colour.
- Leave Letter text (optional) empty for a blank letterhead, or type your letter, then choose Paper size and press Print / Save as PDF.
What it does and when to use it
A consistent letterhead makes quotes, offer letters, notices and official replies look like they come from a real business. Small firms, sole traders, clubs and schools often need one but do not want to set up a design program for it. This tool gives you a clean, text-based letterhead in a minute.
Print a stack of blank sheets to write on by hand, or type a short letter straight into the page. For posting, the envelope addresser prints the address onto the envelope, and the address label sheet helps when you send many letters. For formal recognition, the certificate maker uses the same print approach.
How it works
The three layouts arrange the same parts in different ways:
- Name left: company name and tagline on the left, address and contact details right-aligned on the right, with a thin accent rule under the whole header.
- Centred: everything centred, with a thicker accent rule underneath.
- Side rule: name on the left, and the address block on the right with a vertical accent bar beside it instead of a rule underneath.
Phone, email and website are joined into one line with dots between them; empty fields are left out. The footer line sits centred near the bottom edge above a hairline rule. Page margins are 16 mm at the top and bottom and 18 mm at the sides.
Worked examples
The preset letterhead. For Saffron Studio LLP, the contact line under the address reads:
+91 80 4000 1234 · hello@saffron.example · saffron.example
and the footer reads LLPIN AAB-1234 · GSTIN 29ABCDE1234F1Z5.
Centred with a greeting. Layout Centred and letter text “Dear Sir or Madam,” gives a centred header and the greeting at the start of the letter area.
Side rule on US Letter. Layout Side rule, paper US Letter and no tagline gives a 215.9 × 279.4 mm page with a 1.2 mm accent bar beside the address block.
Limits and tips
- Only one page is produced, and overflow is cut off.
- Use a dark accent colour so the company name prints clearly on office printers.
- Keep the address to two or three lines so the header stays compact.
