Body Mass Index from weight and height in metric or imperial, with WHO and Asian-Indian category tables.. BMI Calculator is a free online tool from the ToolsRift Finance & Health Calculators collection. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing to install, no signup, and your data never leaves your device.
Enter your weight and height in metric or imperial units. The calculator computes your BMI and shows the WHO and Asian-Indian weight categories.
BMI = weight in kilograms / (height in metres)². For imperial, BMI = 703 × weight in pounds / (height in inches)². The result is compared against category ranges.
WHO ranges are underweight below 18.5, normal 18.5–24.9, overweight 25–29.9 and obese 30 or above. Asian-Indian cut-offs flag risk at lower BMI values.
BMI does not distinguish muscle from fat or account for body composition, so athletes may read high. Treat it as a rough screening tool, not a diagnosis.
