What format do the dates need to be in?

ISO dates like 2026-03-14 are the safest because they are unambiguous everywhere in the world. Common formats such as 14 Mar 2026 also parse, and any row with a date the browser cannot read is listed as skipped so you can fix it rather than losing it silently.

Can I show how far along each task is?

Yes. Add an optional fourth column with a percentage and each bar gets a darker inner fill showing that much progress, plus the percentage printed at the end of the bar. Leave the column out and the bars are drawn as plain durations.

Is the project data private?

Completely. Project schedules often reveal launch dates, client commitments and staffing, so nothing is uploaded: the CSV is parsed in memory in your browser and the SVG is generated locally on your own device.
