Bubble Text Generator

Turns text into circled Unicode characters — ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ letters — for social media bios, comments and usernames. Like the other Unicode text styles, these are characters rather than a font, so the effect survives copy and paste.

How to use Bubble Text Generator

  1. Type or paste your text.
  2. The bubble version appears immediately.
  3. Copy and paste it where you want it.
  4. Letters and digits convert; punctuation and spaces pass through unchanged.
  5. The filled (negative) style has no lowercase in Unicode, so mixed-case text mixes styles.
  6. Not searchable, and read out awkwardly by screen readers — keep important text plain.

Two bubble styles, and the gap in the alphabet

Unicode has an Enclosed Alphanumerics block containing Ⓐ–ⓩ and ⓪–⓴, plus a separate set of negative (filled) circled characters. The filled set is the incomplete one: it covers capital letters and digits but not lowercase, so a filled-bubble rendering of mixed-case text falls back to outline forms for the lowercase letters. That inconsistency is not a bug in the converter, it is a gap in the standard — the characters simply do not exist.

Zero is the awkward character

The circled digit set runs ① to ⑨ for 1 to 9, and zero was added later as ⓪ in a different part of the block. Some fonts render it noticeably differently in size or weight from the other digits, which is why a bubble-styled year or phone number often looks slightly wrong. Circled numbers continue past 20 in various forms, but support for those thins out quickly.

Use it decoratively, not structurally

As with every Unicode text style, the appearance costs searchability and accessibility. Circled characters do not match their plain equivalents in search or Ctrl+F, and screen readers announce them inconsistently — sometimes as “circled letter b” for each character, which is unusable for a whole sentence. A decorative line in a bio is fine; a whole profile is not, and neither is anything you want found.

Frequently asked questions

What is bubble text?
Bubble text uses Unicode circled letter characters that create a fun, bubbly appearance perfect for playful messages and social media.
Can I use bubble numbers?
Yes, the generator converts digits 0-9 to circled number characters as well.
Are there different bubble styles?
This uses standard circled characters. For outlined bubbles, some platforms have alternative Unicode sets available.
Why are some of my bubble letters filled and some not?
Because Unicode's filled circled set covers uppercase and digits but has no lowercase letters. Converters fall back to the outline forms for those, producing a mix. Typing in all capitals gives a consistent filled look.
Will bubble text work on Instagram and TikTok?
Yes, in bios, captions and comments on both, and on most modern platforms. Usernames are more often restricted, and some older devices show boxes where the font lacks the glyphs.
Does bubble text affect my reach or SEO?
It cannot be matched by search, so a bio or caption written in it is invisible to anyone searching those words — including platform search. Keep your keywords in plain text and use the styling for decoration only.
