How to use Bold Text Generator
- Type or paste your text.
- Copy the bold version.
- Use it sparingly — a phrase, not a paragraph.
- Only A–Z, a–z and digits convert; punctuation and accented letters pass through unchanged.
- Unsearchable, and announced badly by screen readers — avoid it for names and key information.
- Use the platform’s own formatting where it exists.
These are different characters, not bold styling
The output uses the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, which Unicode encoded so that a bold variable in a formula is distinguishable from an ordinary one. Because the weight lives in the character rather than in markup, it survives being pasted anywhere — which is why it appears in LinkedIn posts and Instagram bios, neither of which offers a bold button.
The accessibility cost is larger than for other styles
Screen readers handle these badly, and the failure is worse than usual because bold is typically applied to the most important words. A heading rendered in Unicode bold may be announced character by character, or as “mathematical bold small a” repeatedly, or skipped entirely. So the emphasis you added makes the key line the least accessible part of the post. They are also unsearchable, which matters when the bold text is your name or your offer.
Where real formatting exists, use it
LinkedIn, X and Instagram offer no bold in posts, which is the legitimate use case. But many platforms do: Slack, Discord, WhatsApp and Notion all support markdown-style formatting, and using their own syntax gives you bold that is properly announced by screen readers and correctly indexed by search. Reaching for Unicode characters where real formatting is available trades function for a marginal visual gain.
