How to use Yes or No Generator

Optionally enable Maybe, then press the button for a random Yes, No or Maybe revealed with a short flip animation. Press again for a new answer any time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I include a Maybe answer?

Yes. Turn on the Maybe option and the generator chooses randomly between Yes, No and Maybe. Leave it off for a straight, even Yes-or-No result.

Are the answers evenly weighted?

Yes. With two options each has a 50% chance, and with Maybe enabled each of the three has an equal one-in-three chance, all drawn from your browser's secure random generator.

What is it useful for?

Settling small decisions quickly, breaking a tie, deciding who goes first, or adding a bit of chance to a game — anywhere you just need an impartial answer.
