Which metadata is removed?

The document information fields: title, author, subject, keywords, creator and producer, plus the creation and modification dates are reset.

Does this remove hidden text or redact content?

No. It only clears document properties. To black out visible content permanently, use the PDF Redaction tool instead.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is read and rewritten entirely in your browser, so your document and its metadata never leave your device.
