How to use Salary Hike Calculator

Enter your old salary with either a hike percentage or your new salary. The calculator shows the new pay, the hike percent and the increment amount.

Frequently asked questions

How is a salary hike percentage calculated?

Hike% = (new salary − old salary) / old salary × 100. A jump from ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 is a ₹10,000 increment, a 20% hike.

How do I find my new salary from a hike percent?

New salary = old salary × (1 + hike%). A 15% raise on ₹40,000 gives ₹40,000 × 1.15 = ₹46,000.

Should I compare CTC or in-hand for a hike?

Compare like with like. A CTC hike may not fully reach your in-hand pay because of taxes and deductions, so check both figures when evaluating an offer.
