Enter any two of cost, selling price or markup percentage. The calculator solves for the missing value and shows both markup and profit margin.
Markup is profit as a percentage of cost, while margin is profit as a percentage of selling price. A 50% markup equals a 33.3% margin on the same item.
Selling price = cost × (1 + markup%). For a ₹100 cost with 40% markup, the price is ₹100 × 1.40 = ₹140.
Markup% = (price − cost) / cost × 100. If cost is ₹100 and price ₹140, the markup is ₹40 / ₹100 = 40%.
