How to use the zodiac sign finder
- Enter your Birthday. Any year works; only the month and day decide the sign.
- Read your Sun sign with its symbol, for example “♉ Taurus”.
- See the sign’s Dates, Element (Fire, Earth, Air or Water), Modality (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable) and Ruling planet.
- If a Note says you are on the cusp, read about the neighbouring sign too.

What it does and when to use it
It is a quick, light-hearted lookup for horoscope pages, birthday cards, party games, icebreakers or writing a character’s backstory.
Astrology is a cultural tradition, not a science, and this tool is meant for fun. Scientific studies have not found that sun signs predict personality or events, but the signs and their stories are a rich part of art, literature and conversation.

How it works
The finder compares your month and day with the table below and returns the matching sign. It also checks the day before and the day after your birthday. If either belongs to a different sign, it marks you as on the cusp. The element, modality and ruling planet are the traditional pairings used in Western astrology. Where modern astrology added Uranus, Neptune or Pluto, both rulers are shown.

Worked examples
19 February 1992. Pisces, a Water sign, Mutable, ruled by Jupiter (traditional) and Neptune (modern). It is the first day of Pisces, so the result adds Note: On the cusp with Aquarius.
1 November 1975. Scorpio, a Fixed Water sign, with Ruling planet: Mars (traditional), Pluto (modern). No cusp note, because 31 October and 2 November are also Scorpio.
23 July 2004. Leo, Element: Fire, ruled by the Sun. As the first day of Leo, it is on the cusp with Cancer.
Limits and tips
- Only the sun sign is given. Moon and rising signs need the exact birth time and place.
- On a cusp day, the exact sign depends on your birth year and time, which this tool does not use.
