How to use Image Border
- Choose one or more images.
- Set Border width (1–200 px, starts at 24 px).
- Pick a Colour (the default is a near-black #111827).
- Choose Style: Solid, Double or Rounded. With Rounded, also set Corner radius (0–300 px, default 40 px).
- Pick Save as and Quality, press Apply, and download the files ending in -framed.
What it does and when to use it
A frame separates a picture from the page around it. That matters when a light photo sits on a white website, when screenshots go into a document, or when you want a polaroid or gallery look for social posts. A thin dark line makes screenshots look neat, a wide white border gives a print-style mat, and a rounded frame matches modern app cards.
For uneven or proportional space, such as padding a product photo to a square, use Image Padding. For corners cut round without adding a frame, use Image Round Corners. To label the picture as well, add a strip of text with Image Caption.
How it works
In a Web Worker on your device, the tool creates a larger canvas filled with your colour and draws the picture in the middle. For Double, it nests three layers: a coloured line one third of the width, a gap in the gap colour (white by default), and another coloured line. For Rounded, it adds the solid frame and then makes the area outside a smooth rounded rectangle transparent, with anti-aliased edges.
The picture’s pixels are copied in as they are, so transparent areas inside the original stay transparent rather than taking on the frame colour.

Limits and tips
- Double needs a width of at least 3 px; below that it draws a solid line.
- A white Double frame needs a different gap colour to show two lines, since the gap is white by default.
- The new image is larger, so check any upload size rules afterwards. Compress Image to 200 KB can help.
- No EXIF data from the original is kept.
