How to use the email signature generator
- Fill in Name, Job title and Company.
- Add your Phone, Email and Website, and an Address (optional).
- Pick an Accent colour. It is used for the side bar, your title line and the website link.
- Optionally paste a Logo image URL (optional, https) and choose a Layout: Stacked (logo above) or Logo beside text.
- Add a Footer note (optional), check the Preview, then copy it or download
email-signature.html.
What it does and when to use it
A tidy signature tells people who you are and how to reach you without them searching back through old emails. Free signature builders often add their own branding or ask for an account; this tool gives you plain, editable HTML with no tracking and no link back to anyone.
Use it for a new job, a small team that wants matching signatures, or a freelancer setting up a business email. If you need a “Contact me” link that opens a pre-filled email, try the email link generator. For a short company description on your website, use the about us page generator. For a profile picture to use as a logo, see the identicon avatar generator.
How it works
The signature is a one-row HTML table with inline styles and the Arial font family:
- Your name is bold, 16 px. Title and company appear on one line, separated by “|”, in the accent colour.
- Phone, email and website are links on one line, separated by dots. The phone link keeps only digits and “+”, so “+44 20 7946 0123” links to
tel:+442079460123. - A website without “https://” gets it added. Only http and https addresses are accepted for the website and logo; anything else, such as a
javascript:link, is dropped. - Everything you type is HTML-escaped, so characters like
<and&show as text.
In Stacked layout, a 120 px logo sits above a block with a coloured left border. In Logo beside text, a 72 px logo sits on the left with a coloured divider. Without a logo URL, both layouts show only the text block.
Worked examples
Default signature. Priya Sharma, Head of Design at Northwind Studio. The output contains Head of Design | Northwind Studio and <a href="tel:+442079460123", with the website shown as “northwind.example” and linked to https://northwind.example/.
Unsafe input. Name “A <b>&</b> B” and website javascript:alert(1). The name is shown as plain text, A <b>&</b> B in the code, and the website link is left out.
Logo beside text, with a footer. A logo URL, Layout “Logo beside text” and footer “Confidential.” The logo cell uses width="72" style="display:block;border:0;width:72px;height:auto;", and the footer appears in small grey text underneath.
Limits and tips
- Dark mode in some email apps may change your colours. Check how the signature looks in both modes.
- The email address is not checked, so test the links after you install the signature.
